NDS were called in to lift a steel gantry beam 12 metres long with gross weight of 800kg into a plantroom at a Morrisons supermarket in Edgeware, London.

The team had to navigate access into the plant room which was 8mtrs high from the roadway, with very limited working area. The crane then had to be positioned within a restricted lifting area to lift the beam up into the plantroom where the plant movement team were ready to take possession of the beam.

Once in the plantroom the steel beam had to be lifted and turned at various stages to clear all of the plant and live services within the plantroom. The steel beam was then plant moved into the required location within the plantroom ready to be installed.
